WHO: The WOMBATS, one of the most exciting
new bands to emerge in the UK, are preparing to unleash their
mischievously infectious tunes stateside. Infusing pure effervescent
fun into their roaring harmony soaked pop/punk melodies, The WOMBATS –
Matthew Murphy (vocals, guitar, keyboard), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass,
vocals) and Dan Haggis (drums, vocals) – have toured relentlessly
throughout the UK and Japan, winning the hearts of fans and critics

WHAT: This September The WOMBATS will digitally
release their self-titled six-song EP featuring their hit singles
“Backfire at the Disco,” “Kill the Director,” and “Moving to New York.”
Since forming a year and a half ago, the band has seen their singles
“Lost in the Post” and “Moving to New York” sell out their limited run
while “Kill the Director” entered the UK Top 40 and “Backfire at the
Disco” charted inside the Top 75, and received an unprecedented level
