tim williamsNew Yorkers - Indie singer/songwriter Tim Williams will be showcasing tracks from his forthcoming LP, WHEN WORK IS DONE [October 2 on Dovecote Records], with a show at NYC’s Cake Shop on Thursday, September 6.

The Brooklyn-based musician’s new album is a strikingly confident work that drifts from keyboard-laden marches to earnest Americana and fuzzed-out electro balladry. Throughout the record, Williams’ often melancholy sentiments are disguised within lush instrumentation, ranging from swirling synths and crackling drums to cheerful piano and an assortment of effect-laden guitars.

If you are a fan of Ryan Adams, Wilco, Ed Harcourt or Bright Eyes, you’ll want to take note of Tim Williams.
