KAISER CHIEFS CANCEL US TOUR DATES TO CONCENTRATE ON RECORDING

kcKaiser Chiefs have cancelled a run of gigs in North America at the last minute to concentrate on recording new material.

The band, who’s 2nd album Yours Truly, Angry Mob has just achieved Double Platinum status in the UK has announced they plan to complete new material ahead of a lengthy European Arena Tour starting Oct 29th in Munich continuing through to December 16th in Brighton. On the return to the studio, and cancellation of US touring plans songwriter/drummer Nick Hodgson says…

“We’d like to apologize to fans in America and Canada, especially those who have already bought tickets, but something had to give. We’ve been extremely busy all year and had no time to focus on the future, we plan to have new material out as soon as possible and we’ve wanted to record all summer. This needs to happen before our European & UK shows at the end of the year so we can play a few of our new songs live, we’re keen to explore new ground, beyond the sound of our first two records, so we’re headed back into the studio to begin that process.”
