Glasgow’s Sons and Daughters return with their second record on January 29th, 2008 with The Gift (Domino), produced by former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler with quite a surprise — they’ve gone and made a pop record! We’re told The Gift has “pulsing rhythms, riveting, virtuoso guitars, hand claps and harmonies, grasping choruses and gripping vocals by the band’s powerhouse lead singer Adele Bethel, these tunes are perfectly-sculpted gems, and may very well end up becoming your favorites in Sons and Daughters’ brilliant repertoire.” Sounds good to us!

Look for Sons and Daughters to return to the States in early 2008, shortly after the record has released. Check out Sentimentalist’s review of their April 4, 2007 show at Bowery Ballroom here.
