Just when our poor, tired dancing feet had recovered from CMJ (and Dan Deacon, natch!), Alison Goldfrapp and her beat-making glittery self has announced the release of Seventh Tree, due February 26, 2008 on Mute. Written and produced by Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, Seventh Tree is the follow-up to 2005′s brilliant Supernature, and is said to be “its sensual counterpoint…gilded in the butterfly colours of an English surrealism shared from Lear to Lennon. It shimmers and shines with the warmth of a hazy summer, an electric whirlpool of sound over which Alison’s glistening voice soars.” Oh my! Commence knocking knees now.

  1. That is great .. I think it will sound more Felt Mountain than the second or third album.

    Maybe slightly brighter.
