Jam-packed with toe-tapping tunes and off beat rhythms, The Whigs continue to make indie rock “cool” with their second album. The first two tracks, “Like a Vibration” and “Production City”, seem to go hand-in-hand with frat party danceability and rapid beats while songs like “I Never Wanna Go Home” are reminiscent of those too often forgotten nights. These kids easily please crowds with powerful drumbeats and steady hooks which are sure to be among the college faves. Mission Control is fantastically fun and just damn catchy throughout every track. (ATO Records) –Michelle Cooper
