On October 7, Oasis returns with its seventh full-length release, Dig Out Your Soul, the follow-up to 2005′s Don’t Believe The Truth. Recorded at (shockingly enough) Abbey Road with producer Dave Sardy, Dig Out marks a turning point for the band’s approach to the studio, as head songwriter Noel Gallagher describes: “I wanted to write music that had a groove; not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus and middle eight. I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving.” The album will be released on the band’s Big Brother imprint, and “The Shock Of The Lightning” is to be the first single. On August 28, Oasis kicks off a a tour of the Northwest and Cananda with Ryan Adams. Dates below.
