The fourth annual Afro-Punk festival will take place in Brooklyn from July 5 through the 13, and is co-sponsored by BAMcinematek and Toyota. Billed as “the definitive destination for the global Afro-Punks yearning to experience true AP culture,” the festival drew 30,000 music lovers in 2007, and expands this year to include 40 bands and 15 film screenings, art and a skate park. Full schedule below, but do check out the official festival and Afro-Punk Web site for more information on the movement, bands and that neat half-pipe they built especially over in Brooklyn.
