Tireless Jenny Lewis can’t sit still it seems. She has long been on the road in support of Rilo Kiley’s fantastic 2007 effort Under the Blacklight, and come September, will release her sophomore solo record, Acid Tongue on Warner Brothers. The eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2006′s Rabbit Fur Coat, was recorded in January 2008 over three weeks in all analog at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, CA with Lewis’ usual musical circle of friends and collaborators like Johnathan Rice, Farmer Dave Scher, Jason Boesel, Jason Lader and M Ward, but that roster doesn’t compare to the famous pals that lend vocals to several Tongue tracks: Elvis Costello for “Carpetbaggers,” Chris Robinson (of The Black Crowes), Benji Hughes, and Zooey Deschanel (of She & Him). See below for Acid Tongue’s tracklist and Lewis’ fall tour dates with Conor Oberst.
