It’s been four years since Doves toured America, but lucky for fans, they’ve just confirmed a Spring US tour to support the release of their new full-length Kingdom of Rust, coming out April 7th on Astralwerks/Heavenly.

Kingdom of Rust is an adventurous, intense, multi-textured album that is undoubtedly Doves’ most impressive to date.  “Jetstream”, a track Doves gave away last month via, is a Kraftwerk-influenced, electro standout. In contrast, the album’s title track touches on the stirring sounds of a spaghetti Western drama.

Doves have been recording their follow up in a house-studio in Cheshire, UK for the past 18 months, teaming up with longtime collaborator Dan Austin, who co-produced all but two tracks. For the remaining two songs, “Winter Hill” and “10.03″, Doves used producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead). There will be a ticket pre-sale beginning Wednesday, March 11th. Go to for more info.
