MSTRKRFT – “Fist of God”

mstrkrft

Toronto’s MSTRKRFT (JFK and Al-P) are back following 2006’s monstrous The Looks, with their punch-in-the-face sophomore release. With such a mega title, Fist of God is just what any electrohead would want in a second effort, but heavier. Eleven tracks of dance floor fillers can only induce fist-pumping, sweat-drenched nights in clubland. No doubt this is a hard album, not exactly as forthcoming as past efforts, but appearances by Ghostface Killah on “Word Up” and Lil’ Mo on “If It Ain’t Love” will attract a new following, taking MSTRKRFT in a direction that might drift away from the dance floor.
