Jarvis Cocker at Music Hall of Williamsburg, Brooklyn

What is life?  What is art?  What is music for?  The last question was one asked of former Pulp frontman, now solo fellow, Jarvis Cocker, when he guest edited an issue of UK’s The Observer Music Monthly back in October 2006.  Apparently, the question is one that’s stuck with him and he’s been attempting to come up with the perfect answer ever since.

Join Jarvis Cocker, his band, his friends, and everyone else in the Paris area who wants to get in on the action for the remainder of his stint at the Galerie Chappe, 4, Rue Andre Barsacq, 75018 Paris, France www.galeriechappe.fr) from 12 noon til 6/7pm each day.  There’s a full weekend left to enjoy everything from Cocker-led aerobics classes to free-form dance sessions, open-air concerts, kiddie time rock jams and Jarvis Cocker’s quietest hour of music a band can play. Can you hear it?  I think Cocker and the band are rehearsing now.  Tune in to hear live sessions with songs from the new album, Further Complications, and so much more on his site.
