Alberta Cross to Release Debut Album in September

Brooklyn’s (by way of London) Alberta Cross, vets of the summer festival circuit and long mooted to be one of the next big things, will finally release its full-length debut album, Broken Side of Time, via ATO Records on September 22nd. Described by lead singer Petter Ericson Stakee as, “kind of a desperation album, a darker album; it’s definitely angrier. We’ve been in a crazy place during the whole album and you can hear that,” Broken Side of Time was produced by Mike McCarthy in Austin, Texas, and is the follow-up to the band’s critically acclaimed (and self-produced!) seven-song EP, The Thief & The Heartbreaker.

Check out our 2008 feature interview with Stakee and bassist Terry Wolfers right here.

Full tour announcement TBA.
