Monsters of Folk, the big new side project with Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James and She & Him’s M. Ward, have just confirmed a fall tour beginning October 13 in Vancouver, that will run through November 22 in Antwerp, Belgium. The tour will run in support of the group’s debut record, Monsters of Folk, out September 22nd on on Shangri-La Music.

Not content to just lap up up praise for their collaborative efforts, Monsters of Folk will also partner with Air Traffic Control, ” a resource for musicians’ philanthropic and social change work” and donate $1 of each ticket sold to local non-profit charities.

In a press statement, Erin Potts, Air Traffic Control’s executive director, said of the pairing: “On a daily basis, we see how hard organizations like these work to make our communities, country and world a better place. In a time when economic resources are harder to come by and organizations are overwhelmed by urgency and need, the Monsters of Folk tour’s charitable activities are a significant way to energize and support the tireless and often overlooked work that these organizers are doing.”

Pre-sales for the North American shows on the trek begin Tuesday, July 28 with public on-sale following on Friday, July 31. Fans in the UK and Europe can purchase their tickets beginning Tuesday, July 27. Additional information on Monsters of Folk can be found on their official website.
