Silversun Pickups

California’s Silversun Pickups have had a busy week and it’s about to get even crazier. Not only have they just performed hit single “Panic Switch” on the Late Show With David Letterman while in New York this week, the band will also share a can’t-miss bill with Elbow, Echo and the Bunnymen and Coldplay as part of the Sunday roster of All Points West in Jersey City. The big news, however, is that Brian Aubert and the gang will kick off a massive North American headlining tour the very next day, Monday August 3rd, in Baltimore, MD. Fellow buzz acts Manchester Orchestra and Cage the Elephant have been tapped for support on the trek.

The band’s latest effort, Swoon, was released back in April on Dangerbird Records. “Panic Switch” continues to do well, and currently sits pretty on Billboard‘s Hot Rock Songs chart at #5, and #2 on its Alternative Rock Songs chart.
