The full artist and film lineup for the 2009 CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival was confirmed today, with new performers such as YACHT, Joan As Police Woman, Busta Rhymes and Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle joining the bill. Features films that will make their grand debut at the annual fest include The Messenger with Woody Harrelson and The Men Who Stare At Goats starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor.

Every year, CMJ serves as a launching pad for up-and-coming artists from all over the world, across all genres. Running from October 20-24, over 75 venues across New York City will host day and night performances to 120,000 overly tired, frenetic music fans and press who will valiantly get on line for previous announced buzz acts such as Broadcast, School of Seven Bells, Japandroids, Atlas Sound, Deer Tick, Margaret Cho, Midnight Juggernauts, Fanfarlo, Evan Dando, Superdrag, The xx, and The Temper Trap among a multitude of other artists.
