On November 3rd, Bat For Lashes will release a deluxe version of the Mercury Prize-nominated Two Suns via Astralwerks. The special edition will include “rare and unreleased studio gems, cover versions, stunning live tracks, demos, exclusive remixes, and a revealing long-form documentary.”

Natasha Khan, the principal enchantress behind Bat For Lashes, took special care with the documentary portion of the deluxe package, as Two + Two is a 48-minute behind-the-scenes look at the “intense personal journey” she embarked on while recording the album, “following her across the globe, from the pastoral countryside of her native U.K. to the haunting Western landscapes of California.” Fans will also delight to be a fly on the wall as Khan creates her now-infamous “Pearl” character from Two Suns, along with the making of videos from the album.

Two new versions of the critically acclaimed single “Daniel” will appear on the enhanced Two Suns, one considered to be a ““lo-fi demo,” and the other a live version recorded during Bat For Lashes’ 2008 tour supporting Radiohead. An “ethereal reading” of “Good Love” makes an appearance, as does a “richly symphonic cover” of Tom Waits’ “Lonely.” This is not the first time Khan has tackled a beloved song from a veteran artist; her chilling cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” became a live favorite during the tours for 2006′s Fur and Gold.
