Our favorite wildly energetic seven-piece from Wales, Los Campesinos!, have announced the release date of their new record, Romance is Boring, due January 26, 2010 on Arts + Crafts. Produced by John Goodmanson and recorded in Seattle, Connecticut and Wales, Romance is Boring finds Los Campesinos! tackling weighty subjects such as “the death and decay of the human body, lost love, mental breakdown and football” all the while “expanding their instrumental palette to include brass, drum machines and strings” over the album’s 15 tracks. First single, “There Are Listed Buildings,” with its “huge choruses” releases digitally on November 3rd. Look out for these other standout tracks as well: “Coda: A Burn Scar In The Shape Of The Sooner State,” “Plan A” and I Just Sighed. I Just Sighed, So You Know.”

A spring North American tour is presently in the works. Stay tuned!
