Former Jenny Lewis collaborators the Watson Twins have slated February 9, 2010 as the release date for their sophomore effort, Talking to You, Talking To Me, on Vanguard Records. From a picturesque cabin in the High Sierras all the way back to Los Angeles, Chandra and Leigh Watson’s divine “driving, poignant and beautiful” harmonies are said to have taken “a soulful turn a la Carole King, but with a pop edge reminiscent of Feist” on the new songs. Co-produced by J. Soda and Russell Pollard and boasting visiting players from Everest and My Morning Jacket, Talking to You, Talking to Me is a “heartfelt nod to their roots” and the Watsons’ “most ambitious album to date.”
