Critically adored indie stalwarts Spoon have just confirmed details of their seventh record, Transference, out January 26th, 2010 on Merge Records. Self-produced and 11 songs strong, Transference is the follow-up to 2007′s top-of-the-chart hogging Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. “Written in Reverse” has been slated as the lead single. If you can’t handle waiting for live dates in support of Transference to be announced, be sure to pick up tickets to the band’s New Years Eve show with Jay Reatard at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee.
In other Spoon news, Britt Daniel and company recently celebrated the worldwide digital release of their first four albums (Telephono, A Series Of Sneaks, Girls Can Tell and Kill The Moonlight) on September 29th via the official Spoon website.
