Birmingham’s Editors have secured a stateside release for their third studio album, In This Light And On This Evening on January 19th 2010 via the FADER label. Produced by Flood, famous for his seminal work with Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey and U2, the latest Editors effort is said to find the quartet “heading in a daring new direction where synths replace the soaring guitars and lead singer Tom Smith takes his vocals to haunting new places giving the album a dystopian, apocalyptic, mechanical ambience.” The album was released in the group’s native UK and Europe in October.
Dates for a North American trek in February have also been confirmed, with all dates onsale 12/12.
In This Light And On This Evening is out now digitally on iTunes, however fans will want to also check out the retail version for bonus live cuts.
