Elizabeth Fraser, formerly of seminal Scottish band the Cocteau Twins and “voice of God” designate, has just released her Moses EP on iTunes via Rough Trade. Meant to be a “tribute” to the life of former Echo & the Bunnymen keyboardist and BBC sound engineer Jake Drake-Brockman who was killed in a motorcycle accident in September 2009, Moses was written and performed by Fraser, her partner Damon Reece, and Drake-Brockman, and includes two remixes of the track. The vinyl 12″ will be available on January 26, 2010. All proceeds from Moses will go to Drake-Brockman’s family.

Fraser granted a rare interview to The Guardian in late November, where she speaks of the Cocteau Twins and Drake-Brockman.
