Experimental rock trio Yeasayer have planned and plotted a full US tour beginning in April, in support of their startling, upcoming full-length, Odd Blood. This follows three US dates in February, which includes a unique performance at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles and two sold out shows in New York City, at Bowery Ballroom and Music Hall of Williamsburg, as well as a March European tour.

Odd Blood will be available on February 9, 2010 via the fine label Secretly Canadian (on Mute elsewhere). Starting in Woodstock, NY at the Marotta lair, then moving onto a few dark, cavernous studios around NYC, Odd Blood took quite an undertaking to create, but as with all things Yeasayer touches, the outcome promises to be astonishing. Brimming with Yeasayer’s dark, heady mix of pop and experimentation, the band has created yet another hard-to-pin-down album that moves beyond tripped-out psychedelia.
