Breaking news on the music festival front: MGMT has just been confirmed to co-headine the annual Bamboozle fest at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ from May 1-2, 2010.

The “Time to Pretend” hitmakers join an already stellar lineup that includes the recently healed Rivers Cuomo and Weezer, Mute Math, Girl Talk, Piebald, OK GO, Paramore, Angels & Airwaves and MTV Woodie Award winners Matt & Kim. Ticket packages and single tickets are onsale now via Ticketmaster, www.thebamboozle.com, and www.livenation.com.

Now in its fifth year, The Bamboozle is “a weekend long crash course in today’s youth-culture scene” that also features carnival rides, good eats and cool treats, vendors and plenty of teen spirit to go around. The West Coast version of Bamboozle 2010 kicks off March 28th with Something Corporate as a newly announced headliner.
