Making good on their group promise to work every day for a year (and probably more considering the personalities in question here), The Dead Weather have just announced a slew of US tour dates beginning April 15th in San Francisco, just before they are scheduled to hit Coachella on the 17th. The trek will keep Jack White and company on the road until May 2nd, for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

The group has been hard at work finishing up their sophomore release, which will likely contain (newly) road-tested songs “No Horse,” “Jawbreaker” and “I Can’t Hear You.” No release date has been confirmed, but Australian audiences in March should look forward to a more generous airing of new material, according to recent interviews with White. There is also no update yet on bandmate Alison Mosshart’s new album with her other high-profile day job, The Kills, said to be rounding the corner back in September 2009.
