Nashville-based electro-psych duo Tallest Trees — Thomas “Trees” Samuel and Dabney “Voice” Morris — are set to release their debut album, The Ostrich or the Lark, on August 17 via Other Electricities. Described as an “album full of intentionally misplaced instruments, clashing harmonies, multidimensional arrangements and elements out of character,” the 14-track Ostrich was essentially recorded “in the dining room of a log cabin in East Nashville” and with standout tracks “Human Voice (Echo 1),” “Alouette!,” (listen here now) and “Skinny Little Wrists,” looks to be a perfect cross-genre treat for the last rays of summer.
