As we reported last week, the Toadies are set to release their long-gestating new album, Feeler, in August. Of the trio’s decision to revisit the beleaguered album, frontman Vaden Todd Lewis said in a press statement, “We can’t help but feel a bit of redemption releasing Feeler 12 years after Interscope decided it wasn’t good enough and shelved it.  We always thought it was going to be a good Toadies album, and since there were unfinished versions floating around on the Internet, it was important to us that people hear it as we meant it to be. ” The band is scheduled to record the  follow-up to Feeler towards the end of the year.

In other Toadies news, the third Annual Dia De Los Toadies will take place on August 28th in New Braunfels, TX. Artists set to appear include Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears,  Heartless Bastards, Centro-Matic, Sleepercar,  Girl in a Coma, Two Tons of Steel, Here Holy Spain and Descender, with others to be confirmed shortly.
