Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has just confirmed a brief run of shows in support of his upcoming solo debut, Flamingo, due September 14th via Island Records. Fan club on-sales begin July 21st here, and general public on-sales begin July 23rd.

As previously reported, the anthemic and classic rock-influenced Flamingo (originally meant to be the makings of a new Killers record) was produced by the dream team trio Stuart Price, Daniel Lanois, and Brendan O’Brien at the band’s home studio in Las Vegas. Said to be “packed full of sparkling, stadium-ready songs that run the gamut from expert pop executions and forlorn electro dirges to gospel tunes and even blues-tinged rock,” Flamingo and its first single “Crossfire” will surely delight long-time Killers fans, while providing Flowers with the creative freedom to explore his many inspirations.

The dates are:
8/15/10 Las Vegas, NV @ Shimmer Room
8/17/10 Los Angeles, CA @ Troubadour
8/19/10 San Francisco, CA @ Slim’s
8/23/10 Chicago, IL @ Park West
8/26/10 New York, NY @ Highline Ballroom
