After impressive showings at the recent Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Free Energy and Titus Andronicus will kick off their joint tour on August 19th in Hoboken, NJ. A solo Free Energy show is planned for September 7th at the infamous Viper Room in Los Angeles. Additionally, the bands have teamed up for a split 7″ that will be exclusive to the tour featuring Free Energy’s cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m Going Down,” and Titus Andronicus’ take on Anxiety Block by Television Personalities.

Free Energy’s debut album, Stuck on Nothing, was produced by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy and released in May on Astralwerks/DFA.
