This Saturday is out in full force. Go to the Dumbo Arts Festival during the day to visit the dozens, hundreds, thousands of open studios and public art displays throughout the neighborhood. F to York street and down toward the water or A to High St and down toward the water.

Also, the Morgan Fine Arts building is having an open studio fete during the day, this could be closer to you and it’s a lot more intimate! Follow the link for more information.

Loud Music Lives Here

In the evening, the fine folks of Don Pedro’s, Brooklyn’s most musical dive bar, has a good bill with Teenage Stride , Bad Cop, Miracles, The Library Is On Fire and Total Slacker. Show starts at 9PM and will set you back $7 at the door. Here’s a map to Don Pedro’s, some trains go there, I think. It’s well worth the trip.

Ah, not all of us live and play in Brooklyn. So if you are in the city on Saturday night instead, take your Brit lovin’ booty over to the Lower East Side and submerge yourself in the basement of Fontana’s for the Feeling Gloomy dance party, where the likes of Suede, Morissey, Joy Division and all other UK miserables will be spun to your heart’s content for pure dancefloor pleasure. Drink specials too!
