The shaggy-haired swagger of electro-pop French duo known as Jamaica recently floored audiences at CMJ in NYC and beyond. They gigged alongside LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, Die Antwoord and Little Dragon at San Francisco’s Treasure Island Music Festival, and played key shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Austin.

Jamaica’s debut in America follows their just released digital EP, Cross the Fader, a four-song collection including a remix of “Short and Entertaining” with an acoustic demo version of “I Think I Like U 2″ alongside two tracks culled from their debut LP, No Problem, co-produced by Xavier de Rosnay of Justice and Peter J. Franco. In case you haven’t heard the album, it was hailed as “pop perfection” by The Guardian and described by RCRD LBL as “a summery, indie-pop gem…”, with that version of the unstoppably summery “I Think I Like U 2″ already appearing in a Volkswagen commercial.
