Brooklyn-based dapper rap gent Beans, whose most recent solo album, Thorns, was a an enticing exercise in raw emotional power, also recently reunited with his old band, the legendary Anti-Pop Consortium, for their fifth album, Flourescent Black. He’s now gone and mixed it all up again to come out with his fourth solo effort, and also his Anticon Records debut, End It All. These 13 tracks, delivered in 33 minutes, promise to be “fierce” and filled with “lush, darkly-tinted soundscapes from some of the most inspired names in contemporary production,” from Four Tet, Clark, Tunde of TV on the Radio, TOBACCO, Son Lux, and Interpol’s Sam “Fog” Fogarino.

End It All is the first Beans album to feature all guest production, while showing the emcee pushing his unique staccato rhyme style in new ways across a “varied but fluid buildup of beats”. It will make your Valentine’s week something worth looking forward to.
