Brooklyn-based indie-pop band Acrylics has announced the release of their full-length debut, Lives and Treasure, due January 25, 2011 on Hot Sand Records. In what may be the next trend in indie, the band’s music is flowing with undercurrents of mellow 70’s pop, as opposed to folk (anyone remember Firefall?).  The duo, Molly Shea and Jason Klauber, came together in 2008 and their debut EP, All of the Fire, was produced by Chris Taylor of Grizzly Bear and released on Taylor’s Terrible Records label.  They have since shared the stage with Morning Benders, Class Actress, and A Sunny Day in Glasgow, to name a few.  Check out the video for the breezy single, “Molly’s Vertigo,” below.
