“Pavor Nocturnus”, a track from Igorrr reminds me of some of the output from Venetian Snares (SzerencsĂ©tlen for example), although it’s likely the similarity lies in the many influences and the drive to get past all of them to make a beautiful track. Igorrr describes his work on his MySpace page as Breakecore/Classical/Religious the latter becomes evident half way in the song as the deep vocals rise up from the driven glitch beats. I imagine an Easter church ceremony condensed into three minutes with stop motion animation.

The artist is on the France’s Ad Noiseam label, which includes a great roster to go along with a name that’s perfect for right now.
