Brazil’s electro-funkers CSS will follow up 2008′s ‘Donkey’ on August 22 with ‘La Liberación’, the new album featuring collaborations with Ratatat, Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie, and Mike Garson (who played piano on David Bowie’s “Aladdin Sane”).  It will be released on V2/Cooperative Music/Downtown Records.

The band’s dance pop, reggae, and punk amalgam has expanded to include new sounds and more lyrical themes, with lead singer Lovefoxxx, (who says her mantra for the album is “Rip shit!”), splitting themes between odes to hedonism with some more autobiographical revelations.
