This show got moved with a day’s notice from The Studio at Webster Hall to Bruar Falls after some sort of slapstick booking that was summarized by Rioux in a message to attendees as:

“This morning I received official word from the Studio @ Webster’s talent buyer, Trevor that he is CANCELLING tonight’s show!”

Another paragraph began:

“Webster Hall has been irrational, offensive, and unprofessional. I have no intention of ever performing or setting foot in that creep environment again.”

We’ve emailed the folks at Webster Hall to find out what kind of reasoning they used to cancel a show the day of. That’s usually in the NOT section of the etiquette brochures.

Anyway, it sounds like the move is to a more suitable location as well; The Studio sometimes gets a crowd that’s not there for any of the bands which creates for an awkward atmosphere (“why are you here?”, “what are you lookin’ at?”) as it is more of a music venue than a lounge. Bruar Falls is way friendlier to all ya hipster creatures as well as simple beer drinkers and also, this show is now free.

The roster, in no specific order, is as follows:

Philip Seymour Hoffman
Food Stamps

Bruar Falls (245 Grand st., Brooklyn). The show starts around 8pm. FREE.
