Everything they touch turns to gold. Acclaimed Irish documentary photographer Seamus Murphy has captured some different sides of PJ Harvey, of course needing no special tricks, but using only natural light and his incisive live documentary style to create a short film for each of the tracks on her masterful, Mercury Prize winning album, Led England Shake, released last February.
Let England Shake – 12 Short Films by Seamus Murphy is a collection of shorts that have now been gathered onto a limited edition DVD to be released on January 31, 2012 in the US. It will include a new short film for the song “England” along with the film director’s thoughts on the making of each film.
Let England Shake, Mercury Prize Winner for 2011, is PJ Harvey’s eighth studio album. This year’s win made her the only second-time winner in the prize’s history, having won in 2001 for Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea.
