“After the storm, the rainbows were around us up here,” mentions Emmanuelle de Héricourt, otherwise known as EDH, the French electro musician whose album Yaviz was just released here last week. Tonight’s show at the Standard East Village penthouse which began at the violet hour, just before sunset, was a spectacular finish for the debut North American tour of EDH.

Héricourt and her band opened the sunset event of Lentonia Records’ acts on the vertigo-inducing, awe-inspiring penthouse of The Standard East Village tonight, along with dark electro label-mates Video Love and Phoebe Jean and the Air Force. The charismatic Phoebe Jean, whose album Heartbreakers also just came out, brought down the house as darkness surrounded the crowd, with her own posse of dancer friends and backup singers blending with fans on the floor.
