Beacon, one of our favorite electronic duos, comprised of Thomas Mullarney and Jacob Gossett, are now with Ghostly International and they’ve got a new 5-song EP, ‘For Now’, coming out on October 2nd. Their ‘No Body’ EP made our Top Ten for 2011 list since we were heavy charmed by its “deep south bass, hip hop beats, angelic male vocals, dramatic segues and video backdrops, girly pop rips and ambient dance grooves.”

We knew from their first live shows that this was a Brooklyn act that would go far. Beacon’s got a unique mix of dark beats and buoyant pop that slides into R&B, and their reflective first single, “Feeling’s Gone,” veers to the softer side of dark.
