It doesn’t get much better as a lead in than hosting many New Zealand bands large and small (e.g. Die! Die! Die! as the angsty stalwarts in the upper spheres), all their NZ countrymen (so it seems), and an open bar for guests, to kick off a CMJ.  CMJ 2012 held New Zealand in the palm of its hands once again at (Le) Poisson Rouge, smack dab in the middle of ol’ Greenwich Village on the opening night of the festival.
