Marcus Hicks, the men’s and women’s ready to wear designer of New York-based SDN, just unveiled his most recent (mostly) menswear line at Von’s intimate subterranean space on Monday evening, elevated with an alluring, eclectic mix by DJ Arthur Arbit. Inspired by the comfortable, moveable lines of both athletic wear and the more cultish details of Scandinavian style, like drop crotches in pants, SDN‘s newest sustainable pieces deploy lightweight, organic denims, cotton mesh and crisp cottons for an urban look that carries well from day to night.

Standouts included a woman’s Asian-inspired slim, ankle-length wrap dress in inky black cotton, a men’s drop-waisted, casual oversized jumpsuit in breezy organic denim and more dark and daring pieces like a floaty men’s denim knee-length cape, black “backwards” oxford lace ups and the classic SDN trademark tee, the Marqua, worn as an off-the-shoulder dress.
