Arcade Fire Announce First Summer Festival Date and New Album For 2010 Release

Montreal’s jaunty rock orchestra, the Arcade Fire, has announced their first confirmed summer date, to take place at Ireland’s Oxegen Festival, July 8-11, 2010. It will be the band’s first show in two years. They last played a special set for Barack Obama’s inauguration in January 2009, which included a cover of the ever-popular Bruce Springsteen tune, “Born in the U.S.A”.

Neon Indian Remix by Summer Dregs

Neon Indian’s stunner of a song, “Mind, Drips”, was recently remixed into an exquisitely frothy tune by Tennessee’s Summer Dregs (aka Carl Cadwell) and recalls the likes of Atlas Sound.  Summer Dregs’ own new record, From Gold to Green, is “dark, semi-sweet electro-pop” that deserves a good listen as well.
