The Black Angels to Tour the U.S. This Fall

Besides the Black Angels’ recent shattering appearance at the first Village Voice 4 Knots Festival this month, they made history at Bonnaroo and Fuji Rock in Japan, set out on an Australian tour, hosted the Austin Psych Fest, and appeared on MTV’s 120 Minutes and NPR’s World Cafe. A new U.S. tour gets underway in August.

Salem to Release King Night, Their Debut LP, This September

Eerie sounds rarely get this sexy, but Traverse City/Chicago-based Salem certainly know how to brew up a magic mix of all that’s menacing and calming at once. The captivating trio, made up of John Holland, Heather Marlatt, and Jack Donoghue, will release their 11-song debut, King Night, on the IAMSOUND label on September 28th.
