The rawk juggernaut of Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones have just added three additional shows to Them Crooked Vultures’ brief spring tour of the U.S. The newly announced cities are Los Angeles on April 14, Indianapolis on May 17 and Chicago on May 18.

Well, the Dead Weather couldn’t rule the entire summer as the only group with big buzz and that whole crazy “supergroup” sheen. Sure enough, Them Crooked Vultures came along, grabbing headlines with so-amazing-it’s-scary reception of their festival appearances, and a debut record slotted for release sometime this autumn.
Foo Fighters Announce Greatest Hits CD
That Dave Grohl, aka “the nicest man in rock,” sure is on quite a roll, ain’t he? Currently killing audiences with his new group Them Crooked Vultures (with Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin), the Foo Fighters frontman will see the release of his home team’s greatest hits CD on November 3rd, via Roswell/RCA.
Arctic Monkeys to Perform Songs From New Album Online 7/30
On Thursday, July 30, Arctic Monkeys will perform songs from their upcoming third album Humbug including, presumably, new single “Crying Lightning,” online at 4:00pm EST on their official website. The transmission will also be available at http://www.guardian.co.uk/music, http://www.nme.com and http://www.drownedinsound.com.
Arctic Monkeys Tour Takes Shape; Will Perform on Jimmy Fallon August 4
Arctic Monkeys have just confirmed additional tour dates in support of their upcoming third album, Humbug (August 25/Domino Records). A featured performance on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has also been scheduled for August 4 while the band is in New York City to perform at the second annual All Points West festival and a double-shot at Highline Ballroom.
